Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking an Economist to conduct frontier research in economics, including macroeconomics and financial markets, for publication in top journals and Bank publications.

The role involves presenting research at major conferences, delivering policy briefings to the Bank president, and counseling senior leadership on national and international economic matters, including monetary policy and regulation. Collaboration and mentoring of research assistants are expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in economics or related discipline.
• Fundamental knowledge of economic theory, econometrics, and statistics.
• Knowledge of economic policy analysis and subject matter expertise as demonstrated by rigorous research.
• Ability to author content clearly conveying complex subjects.
• Strong engagement skills for presenting information.
• Superior skills in econometric and statistical software and programming languages.

Responsabilités

• Conduct frontier research using macroeconomics, banking and financial markets, and regional economics.
• Present research at top-tier academic and Federal Reserve conferences.
• Prepare policy briefings for Bank leadership on policy matters and economic conditions.
