Amazon Prime is seeking an ambitious Economist to craft econometric insights for Prime worldwide. You will build causal models, analyze massive datasets, and develop tools that guide strategic decisions at senior levels across diverse Prime services.

You will collaborate with a team of economists, data professionals, product managers, and software engineers to translate complex analyses into actionable guidance and share findings in internal venues and journals.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or equivalent.
• Knowledge of data analysis languages (R, Stata, Python) or other statistical software.
• Experience in postdoctoral, consulting, government or academic research.
• Experience with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Create econometric insights for Prime globally.
• Build causal, counterfactual and machine-learning models.
• Develop internal data products and write strategic documents for senior leaders.
