Job summary

Hudson Valley Community College seeks an experienced Economics Instructor to teach courses at the 100 and 200 level, with the possibility to teach macroeconomics and microeconomics. This full-time, probationary position is in the Education and Social Sciences department, with on-campus responsibilities.

The selected candidate will join a diverse faculty community and contribute to departmental initiatives, curriculum development, and student success through on-campus or hybrid offerings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in economics or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to teach on campus classes.
• Previous college teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in economics courses at the 100 and 200 level.
• Teach in other department areas as needed.
• Evaluate student performance and complete assessments as required by the College.
• Participate in departmental, division wide, and/or college wide initiatives.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
