Job summary

Sieda Community Action is seeking an Economic Support Specialist I to manage daily operations of county economic programs from the Fairfield resource center. You will handle LIHEAP and ECIP activities, assess client needs, enter data, and coordinate referrals to community resources.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with some college preferred, and at least 1 year of public-facing experience. Travel across several counties may be required to ensure coverage and service continuity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of public-facing experience; familiarity with poverty issues preferred.
• Moderate computer knowledge and ability to use program software with minimal training.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily economic programs in the county resource center, primarily LIHEAP and ECIP.
• Assess client needs, collect data for agency databases and LIHEAP system, and refer resources.
• Open/close resource centers in outer counties and coordinate with utilities for aid.
• Process applications and income eligibility checks; provide coverage across seven counties as needed.
• Communicate with clients, staff, partners and funders in a timely manner.
