Job summary

Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC) seeks an Economic Development Coordinator to support its Economic Development Department, assisting the Manager with project tracking, inquiries, incentive and grant administration, and data support.

Responsibilities include maintaining project and property records, coordinating incentive programs, and supporting redevelopment, business attraction, and site analysis in Berwyn. Strong organization and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economic development, urban planning, public administration, business, finance, real estate, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in economic development, planning, local government, commercial real estate, or a related field preferred.
• Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a day-to-day contact for routine developer, property owner, and business inquiries.
• Maintain records of development projects, tracking schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate due diligence materials and incentive documentation for active projects.
• Maintain inventory of available properties and strategic sites.
• Respond to site-selection inquiries and document outreach findings.
• Track incentives, project milestones, reimbursements, and compliance deadlines.
• Prepare supporting documentation for committee, board, and government reviews.
• Maintain records for TIF and grant-funded initiatives.
• Support GIS/data research and annual vacancy analyses.
