Job summary

The Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County is seeking a Business Development Manager/Director to drive revenue growth, strengthen investor confidence, and advance economic development initiatives in Elkhart County.

You will build partnerships with business leaders, donors, and municipal partners; manage donor pipelines, develop investment strategies, and represent the organization at events and in the community. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public affairs, communications, economics, or related field.
• 2+ years in business development, sales, or relationship management.
• Strong planning, execution, and revenue-growth abilities.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Expand the organization’s network and investor confidence to drive growth.
• Develop and maintain donor/investor pipelines for funding opportunities.
• Create customized investment strategies and communications with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with leadership on fundraising, investor relations, and community engagement plans.
• Develop marketing materials and messaging in line with organizational branding.
• Attend events and meetings to promote economic development initiatives.
