Job summary

The Town of Moncks Corner is seeking an experienced Economic Development Director to lead business recruitment, investment attraction, redevelopment initiatives, and commercial growth during a transformational period in the Town's history.

Reporting to the Town Administrator, the Director will implement strategies, recruit retailers and service businesses, build partnerships with developers and regional partners, and oversee Corner Renaissance redevelopment efforts to expand the commercial tax

Qualifications

• Experience in economic development and redevelopment.
• Ability to build partnerships with developers and business leaders.
• Knowledge of municipal or community development.
• Experience with public-private partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of economic development and redevelopment strategies.
• Recruit retail, restaurant, office, hospitality, and service-sector businesses.
• Build relationships with developers, investors, brokers, and regional partners.
• Support redevelopment initiatives and investment opportunities.
• Coordinate economic development activities with Town departments and external stakeholders.
• Advise on marketing strategies and opportunities for business investment.
