Job summary

J.S. Held is seeking an Economics Damages & Valuations Intern for Summer 2027 in our San Francisco, CA office on a hybrid schedule.

The role supports economic damages assessments, business valuation analyses, and forensic accounting across a range of litigation-focused projects.

Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, with strong Excel, communication, and teamwork skills, and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in major and overall.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both major and overall.
• Currently working towards the successful completion of accounting and finance courses prior to the start of your internship.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Interest in Finance, Forensic Accounting, Business Valuation, or related fields.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and transactional data to develop financial models and support data driven decision making.
• Conduct in depth company, industry, and product research.
• Input financial statement, tax return, and transactional data.
• Assist with drafting expert reports.
• Prepare data for demonstrative tables, charts, and graphs.
• Organize documents and maintain orderly records.
• Perform quality control checks.
• Attend internal training events.
