Job summary

Goodwill Central Texas in Austin seeks a warehouse associate to support the eCommerce store operations, including accepting and processing donations, assisting online customers, and preparing items for shipping.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, packaging items for shipment, locating orders, and handling customer service related to order fulfillment. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, and English literacy is required to read and follow directions.

• Efficiently package all items for shipment. In an accurate and timely fashion ship out all sold product to the correct customer.
• Locate and collect all orders for shipping.
• Handle all customer service related to order fulfillment including but not limited to, requests for tracking information, local pick-up requests and combined shipments.
• Maintains the shipping supply inventory and generate requests proactively to restock supplies.
• Maintain a records database tracking shipping costs and quantity of parcels shipped.
• Maintains and assures safety in work areas.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
• Meets goals and fulfills responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task to meet daily production quotas.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions in English.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand, bend and twist for eight hours.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles.
