Job summary

JB Tools in Michigan is seeking an eCommerce Database Manager to maintain a catalog of tens of thousands of products across hundreds of suppliers. You will keep product data, pricing, and online listings accurate and current.

Ideal candidates have strong Excel skills, keen attention to detail, and experience with ecommerce catalogs. Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT and platforms such as BigCommerce or Google Merchant Center is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role in Livonia, MI.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable handling large datasets containing thousands of products.
• Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and own projects.
• Ecommerce catalog or pricing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product data including pricing, UPCs, SKUs, weights, dimensions, descriptions, images, and specifications.
• Process supplier price changes and promotional pricing.
• Perform gap analysis between supplier catalogs and products listed on our stores.
• Identify and add missing or new products.
• Manage discontinued products and remove/deactivate them from our systems and websites.
• Identify and correct inaccurate or incomplete product data.
• Work extensively with supplier spreadsheets and large datasets.
• Use Excel/Google Sheets and AI tools to improve efficiency and automate repetitive processes.
• Help develop better processes for managing and maintaining our growing product catalog.
