Job summary

Fort McCoy Meat LLC is seeking a full-time Ecommerce Shipping & Logistics/Customer Service Assistant to pick, pack, ice, label, and ship orders, ensuring cold-chain integrity and timely delivery.

You will work with the Supervisor and Ecommerce Manager, learn our products and processes, and handle day-to-day packing and shipping using Shopify and internal tools.

Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking in a busy shipping environment.

• Pick, pack, ice, label, and ship customer orders carefully and thoughtfully so they arrive in great condition.
• Communicate proactively with the Supervisor and the Ecommerce Manager on order status, issues, and anything that needs attention.
• Learn our products, processes, and order flow well enough to independently handle day-to-day packing and shipping within the first few weeks.
• Use Shopify and our internal tools comfortably and accurately to pull orders, follow pick sheets, and print shipping labels.
• Keep inventory of products, boxes, and other packing materials up to date.
• Keep the workspace organized and efficient - this is crucial to how smoothly the whole operation runs.

Job description

Position Summary

This role is the hands behind every Fort McCoy Ranch order. You'll pick, pack, ice, label, and ship the orders that go out the door, working alongside our Ecommerce Shipping & Logistics / Customer Service Supervisor. The care you put into each box decides whether a customer's order arrives cold, complete, and in great condition.

You'll report to the Ecommerce Shipping & Logistics / Customer Service Supervisor and the Ecommerce Manager, keeping them both proactively informed on order status, issues, and anything that needs attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, ice, label, and ship customer orders carefully and thoughtfully so they arrive in great condition.
• Communicate proactively with the Supervisor and the Ecommerce Manager on order status, issues, and anything that needs attention.
• Learn our products, processes, and order flow well enough to independently handle day-to-day packing and shipping within the first few weeks.
• Use Shopify and our internal tools comfortably and accurately to pull orders, follow pick sheets, and print shipping labels.
• Keep inventory of products, boxes, and other packing materials up to date.
• Keep the workspace organized and efficient - this is crucial to how smoothly the whole operation runs.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift multiple 50+ lb packages throughout the day.
• Comfortable working in extreme cold (our packing freezer) - proper cold-weather gear is provided.
• Able to stand for a full shift.

Schedule & Logistics

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Cold-weather gear is provided for freezer work.
