What You’ll Do

The Ecommerce Operations Supervisor is a hands-on operational leader responsible for directing the outbound fulfillment function and managing high-performance teams in a fast-paced, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) environment. This role combines team leadership with operational execution to ensure consistent service levels, inventory accuracy, and cost management. Working collaboratively with DC leadership and cross-functional partners, the Ecommerce Operations Supervisor drives scalable processes that support business growth while maintaining quality and efficiency standards in omni-channel fulfillment.

How you will contribute:

  • Understand unique requirements of omni-channel operations (e.g., online retail, marketplace, direct-to-consumer) and tailor processes to support multiple fulfillment strategies
  • Drive fulfillment efficiency improvements that support overall DC performance while protecting customer experience and brand reputation
  • Collaborate with leadership to understand outbound schedules, paperwork accuracy, truck loading efficiency, inventory accuracy, and order replenishment activities
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze individual and team performance against established KPIs; identify performance gaps and provide real-time coaching
  • Ensure consistent quality and quantity expectations are met and exceeded, with focus on shipping accuracy, on-time internal performance metrics, and dock-to-delivery performance
  • Manage workload assignment and scheduling to balance associate productivity, customer deadlines, and operational priorities
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing outbound fulfillment team, identifying and mentoring future leaders
  • Assess and plan staffing levels based on seasonal volume forecasting and business growth objectives, balancing permanent FTE capacity with flexible temporary staffing strategies
  • Maintain team engagement through clear communication, professional development opportunities, and an inclusive work environment that supports retention and accountability
  • Establish scalable team structures and cross-training that enable seamless transitions during peak seasons and operational changes
  • Deliver ongoing training and retraining programs that ensure associates are equipped with skills to meet or exceed productivity and quality standards for their function
  • Provide guidance on proper item handling, equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices for fulfillment execution
  • Review, update, and communicate operational procedures and process improvements; ensure complete associate understanding and compliance
  • Actively identify and drive process improvement opportunities within the outbound functions and across DC operations; track implementation and measure impact on throughput and efficiency
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and present recommendations to leadership for approval and implementation
  • Other duties may be assigned.
You will have:
  • 3+ years of supervisory or lead experience in e-commerce fulfillment, DTC operations, or omni-channel distribution environments
  • Team leadership, mentoring, and talent development
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Ecommerce shipping platforms
  • Carrier and vendor relationship management
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset
  • Performance management and KPI-driven accountability
  • Safety and compliance leadership
  • Demonstrated knowledge of good manufacturing practices (cGMP’s), OSHA regulations
