Job description

The Ecommerce Manager owns how HydroJug shows up everywhere it sells online: our own DTC storefront (Shopify), our presence on retailer .com sites (target.com, walmart.com, dsg.com, samsclub.com, costco.com), and our B2B wholesale portal for independent and boutique accounts.

You'll drive site merchandising and conversion on our owned storefront, keep our retailer listings and A+/enhanced content current across every account, and run the wholesale portal and digital calendar that keeps content aligned with sell-in and reset timing. You'll coordinate with the Amazon/Marketplace team on marketplace-specific work, but this seat is the single owner for site, retailer content, and wholesale portal.

Responsibilities
DTC Storefront (Shopify)
  • Site merchandising, collection and PDP layout, and on-site promotions
  • Conversion rate optimization and funnel improvements
  • Owning the day-to-day health of the storefront: uptime, checkout flow, app integrations
  • PDPs across target.com, walmart.com, dsg.com, samsclub.com, and costco.com: titles, bullets, descriptions, imagery, video, and A+/enhanced content
  • Content audits and a freshness cadence so nothing goes stale through a reset or new-item launch
  • Item setup and variant relationships in retailer item-management systems (Target Item Suite, RetailLink, and equivalents)
  • Coordinating asset delivery from Marketing Creative and making sure specs land correctly on each retailer's platform
Wholesale Portal (B2B)
  • Merchandising, product catalog, and ordering experience for independent (mom-and-pop) wholesale accounts
  • Account onboarding within the portal
  • Keeping portal inventory, imagery, and content current across all brands and SKUs
Wholesale Digital Calendar
  • Planning and tracking the digital content calendar across sell-in windows, resets, and retail programs
  • Partnering with Sales NAMs on timing so content is ready before retailer deadlines
  • Acting as HJ's point of contact for Target.com, Walmart.com, and DSG.com ecom counterparts on the content/digital side
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Marketing Creative: briefing, asset specs, and delivery timelines across storefront and retailer content
  • Sales NAMs: wholesale calendar alignment, new-item launches, program timing
  • Operations/Sales Ops: item compliance, EDI accuracy, item-setup handoffs
  • Amazon/Marketplace team: shared learnings on listing and content best practices
Success Criteria

At 30 days: you've audited the DTC storefront and every major retailer .com PDP across all three brands, and you know exactly what's missing, outdated, or non-compliant. You've introduced yourself to retailer ecom counterparts at Target and Walmart.

At 60 days: gaps from the audit have a remediation plan with asset timelines locked with Creative. You've mapped every upcoming reset and sell-in window to a content readiness date, and you've shipped at least one storefront improvement. The wholesale portal has been reviewed with a prioritized improvement list in motion.

At 90 days: zero retailer-side launch slips attributable to content gaps. The wholesale calendar is a living document Sales NAMs trust and use. Portal onboarding is documented and smooth for new accounts. Storefront conversion has a baseline and a plan to improve it. You've established a working rhythm with Operations/Sales Ops and Marketing Creative.

Ongoing metrics
  • DTC storefront conversion rate and site health
  • Retailer .com PDP quality score and content freshness (audited quarterly)
  • Portal merchandising current at all times
  • Zero retailer-side launch slips from content gaps
  • Partnership NPS with Sales NAMs and retailer ecom counterparts
Qualifications
  • 4–7 years of experience in ecommerce, spanning DTC (Shopify or equivalent) and retailer .com content operations (PDPs, A+ content, item setup) for national retailers
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform
  • Familiarity with retailer item-management systems — Target Item Suite, RetailLink, Walmart Supplier Center, or equivalent — is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with B2B wholesale portals or partner portal platforms is a plus
  • Multi-brand or multi-SKU experience — you know how to manage content at scale without things falling through the cracks
  • Strong project management instincts — comfortable building and owning a calendar that others depend on
  • Collaborative communicator who can work fluidly with Creative, Sales, and Operations without losing clarity on who owns what
  • Ogden, UT based or willing to relocate; this is an in-office role
