Job summary

Scheels seeks a Temporary Part Time associate in the ECOM area in West Des Moines to support order fulfillment and shipping operations. The role offers pay of $15 per hour, flexible evenings and weekends, and access to the Scheels employee discount.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience. The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to learn inventory systems while maintaining safety and a clean work area.

This is a Temporary Part Time position for a period from orientation date to January 31st, 2027. Applicants must be available to start employment by attending a new hire orientation and start employment after this training. Temporary Part Time employment in the ECOM area will allow associates the added benefit of using Scheels employee discount for purchases before the end of employment. This Temporary Part Time position will have an end date of January 31st, 2027. At that time, an employee who would like to stay employed by Scheels beyond that date will need to apply for a posted position through our internal application process and could include a different schedule, responsibility, and/or requirements

Education & Experience:

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED); one to three months of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of both.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5p.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Friday, 9:30a.m.-9:00p.m., Saturday, and 10:30a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20-25 hours.

$15/ Hour
