Job summary

Verde Clean is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain and restore a variety of floor surfaces—carpet, wood, tile—using eco-friendly methods. You’ll perform cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures, document tasks, and communicate with clients and team members while upholding Verde's core values and culture.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while promoting sustainable cleaning practices in all projects.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Floor Technician.
• Basic knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques, such as buffers, scrubbers, and burnishers.
• Understanding of various flooring types (tile, vinyl, carpet, terrazzo and polished concrete) and cleaning methods.
• Familiarity with safe handling of chemicals and cleaning supplies.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Floor Cleaning and Maintenance: vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, waxing.
• Know eco-friendly products, equipment, and techniques for different floors.
• Follow and collaborate on floor cleaning procedures and steps to clean, strip and maintain floors.
• Prepare floor surfaces before cleaning; move obstacles and protect surroundings.
• Identify and treat stains and debris on carpets and other surfaces.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot floor cleaning equipment.
• Adhere to eco-friendly cleaning practices and minimize waste.
• Keep detailed records of tasks, materials, and issues.
• Communicate with clients about cleaning process and results.
• Follow safety protocols for a safe work environment.
• Perform inspections to ensure quality of work.
• Stay updated on trends and eco-friendly practices.
