Job summary

Evercore in New York seeks an Analyst or Associate to join the Equity Capital Markets Syndicate team. The role supports execution of IPOs, follow-ons, and convertible securities, coordinating with senior Syndicate professionals and with Equity Sales & Trading, Investment Banking, and Evercore ISI.

You will analyze order books, pricing dynamics, and investor demand, contribute to market updates and pricing analyses, and develop relationships across the Firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Equity Sales & Trading, Syndicate, or similar.
• Prior ECM or equity markets experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interest in public equity markets and transaction execution.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation, and corporate finance concepts.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and investor demand.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize market/investor info.
• Ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork across IB, ECM, Sales & Trading, Research.
• High initiative, ownership, and sound judgment.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg/CMG/iPreo.
• FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 preferred or ability to obtain licenses.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of equity and equity-linked transactions (IPOs, follow-ons, convertibles).
• Collaborate with senior Syndicate professionals through launch, bookbuilding, pricing, allocation, and closing.
• Monitor and analyze order books, investor demand, price sensitivity, momentum, and participation.
• Coordinate with Equity Sales to gather investor feedback on live and prospective deals.
• Analyze transaction sizing, pricing, allocations, trading dynamics, and aftermarket performance.
• Monitor equity market conditions, new issuance activity, and precedents.
• Prepare market updates, pricing analyses, and investor feedback summaries.
• Analyze companies, sectors, filings, shareholder data, and ECM trends.
• Build relationships with Evercore teams across IB, ECM, and ISI Research.
• Maintain and analyze ECM databases and support business development.
