Job summary

Metrocare Services seeks a Licensed Occupational Therapist to join its Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) team. You will provide motor development therapy, assessment, and support to infants and toddlers in natural environments, coaching primary caregivers, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, documenting progress, and ensuring services align with IFSP goals while complying with HHSC ECI policies. Fluent in Spanish or ASL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• 2+ years’ experience working with infants and/or families.
• Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapist by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy of Examiners.
• Proficiency in Spanish and/or American Sign Language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and provides motor therapy for infants and toddlers in natural settings.
• Provides consultation and therapy services per the child’s IFSP.
• Organizes caseload and schedules services with families.
• Evaluates assistive technology/adaptive equipment to promote independence.
• Works with interdisciplinary team to determine eligibility for ECI program.
• Completes service documentation timely (by next business day).
• Participates in ECI team meetings and trainings.
