Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking an Echo Tech (PRN) to perform echocardiography for our cardiovascular patients. You will produce heart ultrasound images and work closely with cardiologists and the health care team to ensure accurate diagnoses and comprehensive patient care.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate's degree or equivalent training in Biomedical Technology or related field, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent military training in Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Computing or Imaging or Nuclear technology.
• 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Echosonographers specialize in the use of ultrasound technology to produce images of the heart and its surrounding structures. These images are used by physicians to diagnose and treat a wide range of heart conditions. Echosonographers work closely with cardiologists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent military training in the area of Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Computing or Imaging or Nuclear technology.

Work Experience: 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional

Licensure: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
