Job summary

AdventHealth in Chatsworth, GA is seeking a PRN Cardiac Sonographer to set up and operate cardiac imaging equipment, perform exams and assist physicians. The primary site is Gordon with coverage at Murray as needed.

The role requires day shifts, weekend call once a month, and ability to work at least two days weekly. Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree and BLS CPR certification, plus specific cardiac/vascular registrations (RCDS, RVS, RCS, or RVT) with preferred hospital

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Cardiac/vascular certifications required (RCDS, RVS, RCS or RVT).
• 1+ year hospital imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and adjusts cardiac imaging equipment and performs exams following safety and QC procedures.
• Performs routine and complex imaging studies, assisting physicians and recognizing anatomy and artifacts.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues; participates in ongoing education to stay current.

Job Description:

Work Schedule: PRN, Days. Call required one weekend a month with option to take call through the week. Able to work at least 2 days a week; primary position would be at Gordon but would also be able to cover at Murray.

• Sets up and adjust all cardiac imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams. Implements safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists physicians in various imaging procedures. Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Troubleshoots and resolves equipment issues to maintain operational efficiency. Participates in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in the field.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized. Other duties as assigned.
