Weekend, on-call, and at least one day/night shift per week availability required.
The Echocardiography Diagnostic Technician performs complete echocardiographic examinations, including M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler Echocardiography on clinical and/or research patients. Assists the Cardiologist, Fellows, or other appropriate personnel in performing transesophageal and stress echocardiographic examinations. Also assists in coordinating efficient patient flow, staff assignments, educational support, and maintaining the highest quality procedures consistent with IAC standards for Echocardiography.
Job Description
Education: High school diploma and completion of a two-year echocardiography training program accredited by CAAHEP or a cardiovascular technology program accredited by CAAHEP.
Experience: 1+ year echocardiogram experience preferred.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Within 1 year of hire, employee must complete registration by a national certification organization such as ARDMS or CCI.
