Jupiter Medical Center is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound evaluations of the heart with M-Mode, 2-D imaging, and Doppler techniques. You will work under the Lead Echo Tech guidance within the Cardiology department, handling exams and related clerical tasks.
The ideal candidate holds an RDCS or RCS, has at least one year of clinical echocardiography experience, and possesses BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

High school graduate or equivalent Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS). One year of clinical experience in the field of Echocardiography preferred. BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
The Echocardiographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound evaluations of the heart using "M" Mode and 2 D imaging as well as pulse wave, continuous wave and color flow doppler. Will be able to identify the anatomy of the heart using ultrasound techniques. Under the immediate direction of the Lead Echo Tech , and within established hospital and department policies and procedures, operates diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation TB/PPD Surveillance Program Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
