Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Connecticut is seeking an Echocardiography Technician to perform and assist with echocardiographic tests under limited supervision, ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies.

The role involves various procedures including transthoracic imaging, transesophageal echo, stress echo, and collaboration with cardiology teams. Eligible candidates have an associates or bachelor's in health care and at least one year of echo experience; ARDMS/CCI credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Health Care.
• One year previous echo experience.
• Graduation from an accredited ultrasound school
• Two years echo experience in a hospital setting preferred
• RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS

Responsibilities

• Produce echocardiograms that satisfy the laboratory protocols for standard transthoracic imaging and for special conditions including valvular heart disease, stress echocardiography, 3D echocardiography and strain imaging.
• Participates fully in all the routine procedures within the laboratory, including transesophageal echo, stress echo, and structural heart disease cases where applicable.
• Identify studies which require vetting for appropriateness. Recognizes true cardiac emergencies, including cardiac tamponade, aortic dissection, and acute valvular regurgitation. Uses contrast for appropriate indications
