Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Echocardiographer to perform cardiac ultrasound procedures and assist during stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms. The role requires a cardiovascular technology or cardiac sonography credential and strong communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Suite is desired. Minimum one year of echocardiography experience is preferred; cardiology certifications are required upon hire.

• Graduate of certified cardiovascular technology school and/or accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.

The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures. They also assist a trained, credentialed cardiology attending during stress echocardiogram and TEE procedures. Additionally, the position is responsible for complete knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• One-year clinical echocardiography experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification or Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification.

Contacts:

• Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 500 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.

Minimum rate of $40.28 Hourly
