Job Title: Echocardiographer

Anna Jaques Hospital (AJH), a distinguished not‑for‑profit community hospital in Newburyport, Massachusetts, has been a cornerstone of healthcare since 1884. Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality diagnostic echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac function, including transthoracic, transesophageal, bubble studies, and stress echocardiograms.
• Assure that professional care is provided and that appropriateness of the study is maintained.
• Assist cardiologist with exams as needed, providing real‑time documentation of video and detecting pathology for patients of all ages, following department protocol.
• Communicate findings to physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Follow established protocols and standards for echocardiogram examinations and equipment.
• Perform related diagnostic imaging functions and use computers accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and medical records while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Stay current with new developments in echocardiography and pursue continuing education opportunities.

Pay Range

$46.00 – $68.35 per hour. The pay range reflects the base hourly wage and may vary by seniority, education, training, certifications, geography, and other factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base rate due to shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay and other additional pay practices.
