Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs in a clinical setting. You will recognize, calculate, interpret, and analyze the hemodynamic data generated from echocardiography studies, supporting cardiovascular care with precise imaging.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a 2-year/associate degree or certification accepted. RDCS or RCS certification is required, with a 6-month window to obtain registry if not yet

Qualifications

• Cardiovascular program accreditation preferred.
• Two years echocardiography experience preferred.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer: RDCS or RCS; new graduates have 6 months to pass registry.

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  
  
  
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  
  
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Certification Program in lieu of Associate Degree accepted.
  
  
  • Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
  
  
  
  


• Experience:
  
  
  
  • Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred.
  
  
  
  


• Licensure/Certification:
  
  
  
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduate will have 6 months to pass registry), required.
  
  
  
  


• Additional Skills (required):
  
  
  
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)’ requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
