Novant Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer I to manage the echo lab's daily operations, maintain equipment, and drive quality improvements. The role requires proficiency in basic transthoracic and transesophageal echoes with a focus on accurate diagnostic information.
Applicants should hold a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree, and be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or RCS). Experience is preferred and collaboration with cardiology is essential.
The Cardiac Sonographer I is responsible for daily operations of the echo lab, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality improvement. The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the anatomy and pathology. The sonographer is proficient in performing basic transthoracic echoes and transesophageal echoes. The sonographer should have knowledge in diagnostic digital images and hemodynamic data for physician interpretation. Work closely with Cardiologist to obtain optimal echocardiography quality.
