Job summary

Novant Health in Monroe seeks a skilled Echocardiographer to work with Cardiologists to obtain high-quality images and provide exceptional patient care. You will perform echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs, and interpret hemodynamic data to support accurate diagnoses.

The schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the Heart and Vascular Institute Monroe. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree or equivalent, completion of an accredited

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two-year/Associate degree preferred; certification program accepted.
• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Program preferred.
• Two years echocardiography experience preferred.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer RDCS or RCS; new grads have up to 6 months to pass registry.
• Ability to complete department-specific skills validation and adapt care by patient age.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography studies and stress echocardiograms.
• Recognize, calculate, interpret, and analyze hemodynamic data.
• Obtain high-quality images in collaboration with Cardiologists and provide patient care.

What We Offer

Echocardiographer

We are looking for a skilled Echocardiographer to work in concert with Cardiologists to obtain high quality images and provide exceptional patient care. You will perform echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs as well as recognize, calculate, interpret, and analyze the hemodynamic data.

Schedule: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday - Friday

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Certification Program in lieu of Associate Degree accepted.
  • Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
• Experience: Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduate will have 6 months to pass registry), required.
• Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)’ requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Considerable verbal ability to effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff.
