• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

• Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standards for patients of all ages.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.

Echocardiograph Technologist in Echo Unit at St Joseph Hospital Eureka. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour Day Shifts.

Under the direction of the Department Director and supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab Manager, the Echo Tech performs clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards for patients of all ages. The Echo Tech serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. The role includes participating in quality control and organizational improvement activities and serving as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a cardiac echocardiography program approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or completed equivalent training through self-study or on-the-job training.

• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire, or

• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful completion of national certification examinations in cardiac echocardiography, color Doppler, and stress testing conducted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers upon hire.

• Experience as a hospital-based Sonographer.
