Job summary

Sage Health is seeking an Echocardiogram Technologist to support geriatric patient care across Gulf Coast Market centers. You will perform echocardiograms, position patients and equipment, and ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced primary care environment.

The role requires 3+ years of experience, ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification, and willingness to travel within the market. BLS is required and EHR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in echocardiography or related imaging.
• ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• 3–5 years in a hospital or medical facility.
• Willingness to travel to centers within the market.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms and position patients and equipment.
• Explain procedures and manage patient expectations.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment for accuracy.
• Record measurements and compare to norms.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and proper documentation.
• Travel to market centers as needed (car allowance provided).
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

About the role

POSITION SUMMARY
The Echocardiogram Technologist uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) and other noninvasive echocardiography testing equipment to produce diagnostic images. These procedures require specialized knowledge and skills to support geriatric patient care. This role ensures patient safety and confidentiality, follows established clinical protocols, and upholds Sage Health policies and procedures.

What you'll do

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform echocardiograms, positioning patients and equipment appropriately
• Manage patient expectations and provide exam explanations
• Maintain and calibrate equipment for diagnostic accuracy
• Record and interpret measurements, comparing results to clinical norms
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and documentation accuracy
• Travel to centers within the market as needed (car allowance provided)
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound sonographers.
• ARDMS registered in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS) or CCI Echocardiography (RCS)
• Experience working with an electronic healthrecord.
• 3-5 years' experience working in a hospital or other medical facility.
• Must be willing to travel to centers within themarket.
• Certification Basic Life Support
• Excellent interpersonal,writtenand verbal communication skills
• Must be organized and attentive to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Resourcefulness in problemsolving
• Able to take and follow through with assigned tasks and accountability.
• Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’sdegree or higher
• Experienced working in medically underserved/culturally diversecommunities
• Experience with echocardiography, including strain imaging, preferred.
