Job summary

Jackson Clinic is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform echocardiograms and coordinate documentation for physician interpretations and billing.

You will ensure timely study completion, cooperate with staff, and participate in ongoing education to stay current with imaging technologies. The role includes scheduling studies and performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Prefer graduation from a Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Two or more years of cardiovascular technology experience.
• Certification as Cardiographic Technician or equivalent.
• ARDMS/CCI exam within one year of hire.
• BCLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Good verbal communication and customer relations skills.
• Ability to learn echo imaging techniques.
• Ability to move echo equipment and lift 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms on patients and coordinate document flow for physician interpretations and patient billing.

Job description

Responsible for performing Echocardiograms on patients and coordinating the document flow to expedite physician interpretations and patient billing. Performs high quality echocardiograms.

Assures correct and prompt document flow. Works harmoniously and cooperates with other members of department and those outside the department. Assures all studies are completed on a timely basis. Attends and satisfactorily completes all required in-service education to maintain skills and increase knowledge of new technologies. Schedules studies as necessary. Performs other duties as appropriate to job level when assigned by the Jackson Clinic Administrator.

High School or GED.Prefer graduation from a program of Cardiovascular Technology. T wo or more years of experience working in the field of cardiovascular technology. Certification as a Cardiographic Technician or equivalent. Successful completion of the CCI Cardiovascular Science or either component exam of the ARDMS registry (physics or clinical) within one year of hire. BCLS certification required within 6 months of hire. ACLS certification preferred. Prefer personal computer experience and expertise. Ability to learn echo imaging techniques. Good verbal communication and customer relations skills. Ability to work under conditions of tight time frames. Ability to type at least 35 words per minute. Requires long periods of walking, standing and sitting. Must be able to move echo equipment throughout clinic. Ability to lift 35 pounds.
