North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is seeking an Echocardiogram Sonographer to join our Imaging Services team in Harrison, AR. You will perform 2-D/3-D echocardiograms and Doppler studies, document findings, and work closely with physicians to ensure accurate cardiovascular assessments.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Allied Health and current BLS certification, with strong attention to detail and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Allied Health (required).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Proficient English communication (read/write/speak).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm in emergencies.
  • Preferred: prior echocardiography or cardiac sonography experience.
  • Formal training or on-the-job training in echocardiography is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms using ultrasound equipment (2-D/3-D) and Doppler tracings.
  • Calculate, measure, and document test values for physician review.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and communicate changes to clinicians.
  • Operate ultrasound systems to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
  • Collaborate with physicians to integrate data for accurate diagnoses.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with safety and infection-control standards.
  • Provide excellent patient experience and respond to patient needs.
