Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Tech to join our Lubbock Heart team. The role involves positioning patients, adjusting equipment, following safety standards, and supporting standby on-call duties.

Qualifications

• RDMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and adjust equipment for each exam.
• Follow prescribed safety and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in standby for modalities assigned and respond to on‑call calls within 25 minutes.
• Wear scrub uniforms, clean and pressed, at all times when on duty.
• Complete all necessary forms for each study and coordinate with the requesting physician; verify orders before beginning the exam.

Shift Details

PRN with On Call

Responsibilities

• Report to workstation on time and remain at workstation until relieved for lunch or end of shift.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for each procedure.
• Follow prescribed safety and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in standby for modalities assigned and scheduled; respond to on‑call calls within twenty‑five (25) minutes.
• Wear scrub uniforms, clean and pressed, at all times when on duty unless directed otherwise.
• Complete all necessary forms for each study and coordinate with the requesting physician; verify orders before beginning the exam.
• Check arm band on each patient for proper identification.
• Follow time and attendance recording policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and control projects as assigned.
• Follow departmental policies and protocols for each exam performed.
• Maintain licensure and/or certification for all modalities assigned.
• Maintain and order supplies in the assigned area; participate in inventories as assigned.
• Report mechanical or system problems to the Director or designee.
• Demonstrate initiative while maintaining a professional demeanor with all staff, guests, visitors, patients, and physicians.
• Efficiently perform duties and work toward maintaining budgetary goals.
• Report incidents within twenty‑four (24) hours to supervisor using the proper form(s).
• Handle patient complaints in accordance with policy.
• Assist in development of new CPT codes for the department charge master.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures within assigned modalities.

Qualifications

Required Training

Technical/other training or better.
