Great Plains Health seeks an Echo/Vascular Trainee to provide on-the-job training toward becoming a registered Echo/Vascular Technologist. Under supervision of a Registered Echo/Vascular Technologist, you will perform specialized Doppler ultrasound procedures and learn to obtain accurate diagnostic images in line with professional standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ARDMS prerequisite for SPI Examination.
• BLS certification required.

Responsabilidades

• All essential functions are performed under the supervision of a Registered Echo/Vascular Technologist.
• Reviews, obtains and records patient history and reason for examination; Tailors examination to patient needs.
• Transports patients safely and prepares for examinations; assists physicians during procedures as needed.
• Operates equipment per manufacturer specs; selects proper technical factors based on patient body habitus.
• Demonstrates anatomy per examination and maintains standard of care; documents preliminary findings.
• Prepares completed images for reading by the interpreting physician; uses software tools as needed.
• Takes department call as assigned.
• Engages in continuing education and keeps abreast of new techniques.
• Follows policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; delivers excellent service.
