Job summary

Hillcrest Healthcare System is seeking an Echo Tech for a weekend shift in Tulsa, OK. The role conducts cardiovascular ultrasound examinations across neonatal to geriatric patients, analyzes imaging data, and aids physicians in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions while upholding patient safety and quality care.

The ideal candidate has completed an accredited sonography program, holds ARDMS RDCS-AE or CCI RCS certification, and possesses BLS. An associate or higher degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Registered in ARDMS RDCS-AE or CCI RCS within 12 months (or equivalent).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart and vascular system across age groups.
• Acquire, analyze, and document imaging data to assist physicians in diagnosing cardiovascular disease.
• Support patient safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in a clinical setting.

Education

Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program

ARDMS RDCS-AE or CCI RCS certification

Associate or Bachelor's degree in related field

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
• The Echo Tech is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart and vascular system in patients from neonates through geriatric age groups.
• The technologist acquires, analyzes, and documents imaging data to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease.

Job requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program.
• Registered in Adult Echocardiography through ARDMS (RDCS-AE) or CCI (RCS) within 12 months.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in related field.
• Minimum of one (1) year of cardiovascular sonography experience.
• Experience performing both cardiac and vascular studies.
• Vascular credential (RVT or RVS).
