Qualifications

Education/Training

Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. Meets education/training requirements under current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) guidelines.

Must Be Able To Do These Types Of Scans

• Carotid
• Venous duplex
• Arterial duplex
• Pseudoaneurysm
• ABI/TBI
• Hemodialysis Grafts

Licensure/Certification

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through ARDMS; and/or
• Registered in Fetal Echocardiography (FE); and/or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS; and/or
• Registered in at least ONE of the following: Adult Echo (AE), Fetal Echo (FE), or Pediatric Echo (PE); and/or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS), or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through CCI; and/or
• Registered in Pediatric and/or Congenital Echo for APH Cardiology Department; and/or
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS; and/or
• Registered in at least ONE of the following: Vascular, Phlebology, Neurovascular (through ASNI); and/or
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCI.

Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Must demonstrate competency within the first six months of hire in performing at least THREE of the following ECHO and/or Vascular exams: 3-D, Strain, Exercise Stress Echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography, TAVR, Mitral Clip, Complex Valve, Watchman, Post Processing, Contrast Studies, Agitated Saline Studies, Transesophageal (TEE), Surgical TEE, or Simple Cardiac exams.
