Job summary

Community Health Network in Kokomo, Indiana is hiring an Echo Technologist to perform ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients under physician supervision. The role includes performing various types of echocardiograms, scheduling patients, and maintaining ultrasound equipment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, with preference for those holding an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Registration through ARDMS or CCI is required. A sign-on bonus is available.

Job description

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, three days a week including Saturday coverage. Sign on bonus available.

The Echo Technologist provides ultrasound diagnostic tests for patients under physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2-D, Doppler, and Color flow ultrasound as directed by physician.
• Perform transesophageal, stress, and contrast echocardiograms.
• Schedule patients and explain procedures.
• Position patients and select appropriate transducer.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment.
• Order and stock ultrasound supplies.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology for image interpretation.
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff.
• Adaptability to apply guidelines and procedures appropriately.
• Demonstrated teamwork and strong communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Licensing

• Must be registered through ARDMS or CCI.
• Those without Echo registration upon hiring must obtain registration within 18 months.
