Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform echocardiography procedures for adult and geriatric patients with high quality standards. You will ensure equipment readiness and maintain a clean procedure area, collaborating with a dedicated cardiac team.

The successful candidate will have Echo cardiology registry eligibility and Basic Life Support; 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Echo cardiology technology registry eligible.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to patient size, age or conditions, using universal precautions.
• Evaluate the quality of echocardiogram procedures assuring protocols have been followed.
• Assume optimal quality images are submitted for interpretation.
• Obtain and record all pertinent clinical information relating to the procedure ordered.
• Set up equipment in accordance with department policy and procedure manual.
• Assure all required documentation, films, forms, charges and the patient’s medical record are completed as indicated.
• Complete all required computer entries accurately, timely and without constant reminders.
