Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned sonographer to perform cardiac ultrasound imaging and related procedures with minimal supervision, delivering accurate findings to radiologists and maintaining exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate holds ARDMS/RDCS and CCI/RCS Echo certifications, can work independently, and is proficient with PACS/EMR systems while meeting health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience performing cardiac diagnostic procedures.
  • ARDMS/RDCS certification required.
  • CCI/RCS certification in Echo required.
  • Professionalism and effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population.
  • Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Up-to-date vaccinations as required for hospital employment.
  • Ability to pass required health screenings, including drug screening and background check.
  • Current BLS/CPR.

Responsibilities

Job description

  • Demonstrate proficiency in medical diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist
  • Provide excellent patient care and maintain rapport and service quality with client hospitals and staff
  • Use PACS systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to obtain or enter appropriate care data
  • Exercise independent judgment during procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience performing cardiac diagnostic procedures and related responsibilities required
  • ARDMS/RDCS certification required
  • CCI/RCS certification in Echo
  • Professionalism and effective interpersonal skills in a diverse population
  • Ability to be self-directed and organized to work independently with minimal direct supervision
  • Up-to-date vaccinations as required for hospital employment
  • Ability to pass required health screenings, including drug screening and background check
  • Current BLS/CPR
  • Capable of lifting 50–100 lbs, including patients, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements
  • Physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and complete multiple consecutive scans
