• Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or 2+ years as a sonographer.
• Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing for the noninvasive laboratory.
• Conduct two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal, and stress echocardiography.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs all facets of cardiac ultrasound testing for the noninvasive laboratory of Cardiology Services, including two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal and stress echocardiography.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or have practiced as a sonographer for greater than 2 years.
• Required License: Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers; or be registry eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment. BCLS (Adult).
• Preferred License: ACLS (Adult).
• Required Experience: Cardiology Echo: 2 years practicing as a sonographer. Physician Practice: 0-2 years experience; will accept new graduates.
• Preferred Experience: 5 years practicing as a sonographer.
