Position Overview: Responsible for the operation of the Echocardiography Lab and support of the Stress Lab. Utilizes proper sonographic techniques in conjunction with departmental protocols to demonstrate pertinent patient anatomy and pathology to assist physicians in interpretation. The technician performs all cardiac and neonatal cranial studies and handles clerical functions related to data preparation for physician interpretation and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a School of Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred.
  • Registered ARDMS(RDCS) or CCI(RCS) required.
  • Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
  • Ability to work within rigid time constraints.
  • Awareness of patient conditions at all times.
  • Effective communication skills required.
