Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, seeks an Echocardiography professional to visualize cardiac structures using ultrasound, assist with complex procedures, and support Cardiopulmonary clerical operations. Per Diem shifts with variable hours offer exposure to a high-volume cardiology program.

Requirements include a high school diploma, echocardiogram certification, ARDMS/CCI credentials, and BCLS; prior TEE and pediatric experience are pluses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound to visualize cardiac structures and measure valves, ventricles and blood flow.
• Assists the physician with complex echocardiography procedures.
• Supports Cardiopulmonary Department operations, including clerical functions and document handling.
• Maintains effective interpersonal relationships and information flow.

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required.
• Able to perform stress testing preferred.

Pay Transparency

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $44.22. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
