Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking a qualified Echocardiography Technician to perform ultrasound studies of cardiac structures and assist physicians in advanced procedures within the Cardiopulmonary Department.

Certification requirements include ARDMS or CCI; EKG analysis certs; BCLS; Per Diem status; wage around $44.22/hour. Hospital experience in cardiology preferred and cardiology duties available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• Able to assist physician with TEE testing preferred.
• Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms of all ages preferred.
• Hospital experience in the Cardiology field preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer preferred.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required.
• Able to perform stress testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures and obtain measurements of valves, ventricle and left atrium.
• Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promotes smooth operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department by managing clerical tasks and documentation.

Responsibilities

Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow. Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures. Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.

Pay Transparency

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and the current compensation range for this role is $44.22. Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
