Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year allied health ultrasound program or a health science bachelor’s degree.
• 0–4 years’ experience in inpatient/outpatient cardiac ultrasound.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• New Mexico licensure under NMRTT; new grads must obtain within 90 days.
• ARDMS/RDCS (AE) or CCI (RCS) credential.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive 2D/3D echocardiography imaging to assess heart structure and function.
• Provide patient-centered care; explain procedures and notify physicians of critical findings.
• Prepare preliminary echo reports with relevant measurements.
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call; home call with pay; overnight calls ~1/month.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow and image quality.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and quality control; partake in continuing education.
