Job description

Overview

The Echocardiography Technologist uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricles, and left atrium, visualize blood flow, and assist with other cardiac procedures including Holter scanning and Treadmill Stress testing.

Safety Sensitive Position:

This position is designated as a “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee under the influence of marijuana poses a threat to patients and customers, which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from ARDMS preferred, or registration with ARDMS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

• Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers prior to the end of orientation.

• Previous computer experience.

• Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements is preferred.

Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
