The Ultrasound Technologist operates ultrasound equipment, performs various technical procedures, and is responsible for patient care in the area. This position requires population-specific competencies.

The Ultrasound Technologist reports to the Lead Technologist and/or Manager/Director. This role involves physical demands and respiratory fit testing; refer to the Physical Demands Project SharePoint or Risk Management/Employee Health for details. Exposure to equipment, fumes, contagious patients, radiation, and biohazards is possible. The work may include irregular hours, emergency callbacks, and working in dark rooms up to 60% of the time.
