AdventHealth in Castle Rock, Colorado is seeking a dedicated EKG Technician to support patient care by performing routine and emergency EKGs, ensuring accurate results, and collaborating with nursing and medical staff.

The role involves responding to Code Blue, providing emotional support to patients, and operating specialized devices like Holter monitors and treadmill stress tests, with emphasis on accuracy and patient safety.

• Thorough and accurate routine and emergency EKGs as ordered by physicians.
• Provides patient with emotional support.
• Maintains and reviews equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration.

Responsibilities

• Confirms patient identification and understanding of procedure prior to starting.
• Performs thorough and accurate routine and emergency EKGs as ordered by physicians.
• Presents all STAT EKGs to RN immediately after completion.
• Responds immediately to Code Blue as required.
• Provides patient with emotional support.
• Performs specialized testing using computer-assisted devices, including holter/event monitor application, signal-averaged EKG, and treadmill stress tests.
• Maintains and reviews equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration.
