Job summary

Staffingine LLC is seeking an Echo Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiography services. You will prepare patients, obtain high-quality images, and assist physicians with interpretation while maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient flow.

Requirements include ARDMS/CCI registration, R.D.C.S./R.C.S. within 12 months, and BLS certification. Monday–Friday schedule with weekend call; on-site position in Maine.

Echo Sonographer

Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Important Requirements
  • Must be proficient in all adult echocardiography imaging modalities, including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE).
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI.
  • Registry required within 1 year of employment as an R.D.C.S. or R.C.S.
  • Current BLS certification required, or must be obtained within the preliminary employment period.
  • Must maintain competency in infection control, safety, and practice-specific required skills.
Position Summary

The Echo Sonographer provides direct and indirect patient care within the scope of echocardiography practice. The role prepares patients and equipment for imaging procedures, obtains high-quality diagnostic images, assists physicians with image data interpretation, maintains accurate records, and provides age-specific individualized care while supporting efficient patient flow and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
  • Obtain high-quality echocardiographic images.
  • Assist physicians with interpretation of imaging data.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and archive studies.
  • Provide patient and caregiver education and advocate for patients.
  • Provide care according to applicable protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain competency across adult echocardiography modalities.
  • Monitor equipment and technology system performance.
  • Perform patient monitoring.
  • Organize exam rooms and set up for procedures.
  • Perform general cleaning and office upkeep.
  • Assist with quality monitoring, record keeping, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide customer service to patients in person, by phone, or through supported patient messaging systems.
  • Collaborate with physicians, providers, clinical staff, support staff, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient and practice needs.
  • Work with providers during clinical sessions to support timely patient care.
  • Adapt to changes in the healthcare environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Certifications
  • BLS/BCLS.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI.
  • R.D.C.S. or R.C.S. registry required within 1 year of employment.
Schedule
  • Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.
  • Weekend call required.
  • Weekend call rotation: 1 weekend on, 4 weekends off.
  • Saturday and Sunday call hours: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM.
