ECHO Sonographer

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health agencies, has an opening for an ECHO Sonographer at the American Lake Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• The ECHO Sonographer shall carry out medical cardiology functions with certified Medical ECHO Sonographer certification. Certification by the Medical ECHO Sonographer Certification Board is required, and the sonographer shall receive technical direction from the VA Cardiology Medical Service.
• Perform treatment planning and procedures such as Echocardiograms, Stress Testing, Treadmill Testing, Bubble Studies, and Definity Studies, in conjunction with the Contractor’s Echo Sonographer.
• Calculate prescribed doses, document procedures in patient files, and verify the mathematical accuracy of all calculations using the established system.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree.
• ARDMS Board Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• Fluent in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Basic computer skills.
• The ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
