Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a skilled Echo Cardiac Sonographer to provide direct patient care and support the echocardiography department under the supervision of a Senior Ultrasonographer. The role requires performing echocardiology exams, data collection, and coordination with Cardiologists in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Minimum one year of diagnostic echocardiology experience and ARDMS registration are preferred, with strong communication and teamwork to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Ultrasonography, Radiological Technology or Cardiac Sonography.
• ARDMS certification preferred and/ or board certification preferred.
• Minimum one year of diagnostic echocardiology experience under physician supervision.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills; able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography examinations including transesophageal techniques per patient age and settings.
• Collect and record pertinent clinical data; maintain accurate patient records.
• Prepare and transfer studies to Echo PACS; assist physicians with interventional exams.
• Ensure proper equipment sterilization and inventory management.
