Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an Echo Cardiac Sonographer to provide direct patient care services. The role involves performing echocardiology examinations, maintaining patient records, and assisting with interventional exams.

Applicants should have graduated from an accredited Ultrasonography program and preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree and certification. This position offers a competitive salary range and may include a signing bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Ultrasonography.
• Expected ARDMS registration in one category within one year of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiology examinations including Transesophageal technique.
• Gather clinical data and maintain patient records.
• Transfer digitized echo studies to the Echo PACS system.

Skills

Knowledge in Physics and Instrumentation

Minimum one year in diagnostic echocardiology

Verbal and written communication skills

Education

Graduate of accredited school of Ultrasonography

Certification preferred

Associate’s Degree preferred
